Product Selection Guide

Product

This guide puts the Reach range side by side so a system can be specified from the room outwards: first the media processor that records and streams, then the cameras that see the room, then the audio that hears it. The tables use the current Reach comparison sheets; a model that is not listed is still available on request.

1. Choose the media processor

The processor decides how many sources can be recorded, whether the room needs a rack, a wall panel or a trolley, and whether one person can run the session from a touch screen. Count the sources first — cameras, laptops, wireless inputs — then pick the resolution the delivery platform can carry.

2. Choose the cameras

Two decisions drive the camera choice: how the room is tracked (AI on the camera, voice, or a dedicated director) and how far the lens has to reach. A 12× lens covers most classrooms; a 25× or 30× lens is for the back row of a lecture theatre.

3. Choose the classroom audio

Ceiling arrays cover a room without visible microphones. Choose by floor area and by what the room has to do: capture only, capture with remote interaction, or capture with local reinforcement for the students in the same room.

4. Preconfigured bundles

Where the room matches a standard teaching space, Reach ships the matching parts as one bundle so the processor, cameras, audio and control panel arrive together.

5. Add the platform

Media Center Pro turns the recorders into a managed estate: devices, users, schedules, the video library and the portal that viewers open. The licence is chosen by the number of people watching live streams and VOD at the same time — MCS30 for 30, MCS100 for 100, MCS500 for 500. Details are on the Media Center Pro page.

The platform is not required to record: a single Bee3 Plus or Interact 7 records to its own storage and streams on its own. It becomes necessary when several rooms, a central library or a campus portal are involved.

6. Ask for a configuration

Send the room size, the number of cameras, whether the room needs interaction or local sound reinforcement, and the platform the recording is published to. Reach or your authorised dealer will return a bill of materials with the processor, cameras, audio and licence for that room.
